2019 Senior Scholarship Winner

The Encore Music Education Foundation, Inc. was proud to award this year’s Senior Scholarship award to Encore student, Anina Lawrence! We can’t wait to see what she does next as she enters Berklee College of Music in Boston in the Fall!

Check out what Anina had to say about her award:

I wasn’t really expecting to win the scholarship, since there are so many deserving students. I feel so grateful to Encore, not just for having been awarded the scholarship, but for providing me and countless other students with a space to learn and grow as a musician. I believe that music really is a universal language, and I’m so glad that I’ve been able to learn that language through Encore over the last three years. At Berklee, I’m going to be studying several aspects of music— one I’m looking forward to most is learning how to arrange and compose using programs like Logic and ProTools on a Macbook, which I can do thanks to the scholarship money!

*To be an eligible applicant for the scholarship, you must be a graduating high school senior or high school graduate studying a musical instrument or voice, with the intention to pursue an undergraduate degree in music performance, music education, sound recording and engineering, music business administration, or musical theatre at a two or four-year accredited institution of higher learning.
